Question: My gf wants to see it really bad, but i think it's a disgrace to amazing beatles songs. I love the beatles, but this movie makes them look gay (the commercials atleast). What did you guys theink of it?

I loved this movie. It is not a disgrace to beatles songs at all. It actually makes you apprecitae them even more. It is a chick flick, but I went with a guy and saw it, and he liked it. He kinda tripped out a little, but it is a movie she should see. You shouldn't be in charge of what she watches.
ITS A CHICK FLICK
If you like Beatle songs, but don't love the Beatles you may like it. It's a very visual film, constantly moving. Parts of it are absolutely gorgeous, yet others drag. It's worth checking out.
I am old enough to have been a Beatles fan when they came out. I loved the movie. It is very intelligent in the way that they worked the songs into a story line. The actors are attractive and can sing. It was a lot of fun and really true to the material. I especially loved the way they did I Wanna Hold Your Hand. It's not the Beatles or the way they did the songs, but it is by no means disrespectful of the source.
I just watched this DVD Friday night with my daughter, husband and a young friend who saw it together in the theater. To be honest, I was not sure I would like hearing Beatles songs sung by other people, but I really enjoyed the movie and wish I had seen it in the theater. Like others have said, the colors are beautiful and they way every song fit into the story was cool. It is definitely worth watching. I will be watching it again.

it was probably one of the best movies i've seen! it has such a great plot and the beattles songs are put in the movie so cleverly. you should deff. see it.
