I really really want Johnny Depp to win. His proformance as Sweeney Todd was amazing! I know most people are saying Daniel Day-Lewis is going to get it but he already has an Oscar! They should give someone else a chance.

Johnny Depp SHOULD win. His acting in Sweeney Todd has to some of his best acting of all time. That man should be SHOWERED with them. He's amazing and everyone out there knows it or should know it but it would be nice if his world recognized him.
But you are right Daniel-Day Lewis will most likely get it. But I hoping out for Johnny. Praying and keeping my fingers crossed.

There's no denying that Johnny Depp was excellent in Sweeney Todd. But having seen both Todd and Blood, I feel that Daniel Day-Lewis gave the best performance out of any of the nominees. Clooneys turn in Michael Clayton was decent but not Oscar worthy. Mortensen was good in Promises, but I can't imagine him winning, and Jones deserved a Supporting Actor nod for No Country rather than a Best Actor nod for Elah.
If it comes down to Day-Lewis and Depp, I think Day-Lewis is more deserving, but it wouldnt be criminal if Depp won.
I would like if Johnny Depp get it for Sweeney Todd, but my first choice would be Javier Bardem for No Country for old men.
I'm a Johnny Depp fan, and it's a shame that he doesn't have an Oscar, but I hate it when the Academy gives "make-up" awards to people who have been overlooked in the past. They just end up overlooking the people who should win _that_ time, the cycle goes on, and the wrong awards continue to be given out.
I've seen "Blood" and Daniel Day Lewis absolutely deserves to win.
It looks like alot of people want Johnny Depp to win. He deserves it, he is such a good actor who can play so many different roles, including Sweeney Todd. I really hope he's going to win :) If not him, then Daniel Day-Lewis.
