How Come They Didn't Make A Godzilla 2?!
Question: I was just watching Godzilla on Sky Movies and I was wondering, why didn't they make another film about this because the ending pretty much tells you there's going to be another movie about Godzilla but there isn't.

It didn't make enough money to warrant it.Sequels have become a matter of money rather than art. If a movie makes enough money, no matter how bad, there's a sequel.
They ended the movie that way so they could make a sequel. But the movie bombed so badly that the studio nixed any hope of that.
because that godzilla was a dissapointment to the studio. and some movies just do that to make u wanna see it agian.

Probably because Godzilla 1 wasn't really a commercial success...They probably didn't believe that a second one would give them any profits...
B/c Godzilla one sucked .
Maybe because the Godzilla movie didn't meet the standards of the box office and it got really bad reviews too. Even the director said that it did not have Godzilla's spirit.

In Japan they have made loads ans just brought out a new one recently.
The American thing!?! My poor, deprived, innocent.... I suppose you could argue that the abomination that took Godzilla's name in vain did get a sequal of sorts--or at least got what it deserved in Godzilla: Final Wars.
