Room 1408 endings? anyone tell me the other ending?!
Question: I just watched 1408 and its awesome alot better then i thought it would be :D anyway the ending i seen was he got a box of all his burnt stuff and heard the tape of katie just wounderen what is the other ending? thanks

In the alternate ending (which I far preferred to the theatrical), he dies in the process of setting fire to The Room. The next scene is at his funeral, where Sam Jackson attempts to give his belongings to his wife - and tries to tell her that he died doing something "good" and that the room will never be opened now. She doesn't want to hear any of it, and sends Jackson away. Back in his car, Jackson listens to the tape which plays Katie's voice and for a split second he sees Enslin's burned corpse in his back seat.
The final scene is of Enslin's ghost in the burnt-out shell of 1408.
