I am watching the movie "The Bird Cage" starring Gene Hackman and Robi!
Question: Does anyone else think that Mitt Romney could stand in for Gene Hackman as the Right Wing Senator in this movie and how funny would that be in this election year?

I do like the thought of Mitt Romney in drag, but really, his time in Massachusetts kind of deprived him of the idea that he's super right-wing. I always thought of the Hackman character as more like Jesse Helms or Tom Coburn - someone virulently against gays, abortion and just sex in general.
I think The Birdcage is hilarious throughout - and with a great cast. Nathan Lane plays Robin Williams' partner. Dianne Weist is the senator's wife ("Somebody has to like ME better!").
I hadn't thought of that, but it's funny!
