Is it just me or does Nicholas Cage act the same in every movie he makes?!

Question: Nothing against him but If you ever watch any of his movies one after another he always act's the same in all of them
Do you ever notice that?

Do you ever notice that?

yes..he is kind of 'wooden'

Yeah, him and Vince Vaughn.

Yeah he's just playing himself. Still oddly attractive though.

You noticed that as well did you. Give him some credit because he does try and act differently sometimes. Then again he isn't exactly the best actor out there, so he doesn't really have to worry.

Thank you!! i thought it was just me!! They treat him like he's this great versitle actor, but he's not THAT great!

I like him so can't say that I've ever noticed? I did notice in a trailer for his latest movie that he looks like he's had some really bad plastic surgery done to his face though? Quite disturbing!!

yes...every single movie...nothing new from him...boring

Yes when you think about it he does, oh well all part of the charm I guess

Of course he does he and Kevin Costner have the same acting coach lol. Seriously though in Robin hood everyone had an English accent except for him. Did you see body guard well that means you've seen field of dreams. Same goes for Cage have you seen gone in sixty seconds well then you've seen ghost rider.

No, that's not true. Something happened along the way. Compare "Face/Off" and "Con Air" to "The Wicker Man" and "Ghost Rider". Something has "gone missing", and it concerns me.

He's always had a rather laidback, monotone-type of delivery, but he could play it for comedy or drama. Now, it's as if he's an empty shell, simply walking through his roles. "The Family Man" was weaker than it should have been, then he seemed to worsen through "Matchstick Men", "The Weather Man" and other films. It's as if there's nothing there anymore, and it definitely can be called wooden acting now. I no longer look forward to his performances.

"Ghost Rider" was horribly wrong for him. He's far too old to have played Johnny Blaze, and it didn't help that the role of Roxanne was demolished by an actress who seemed to have just come from the dentist.

If he has had plastic surgery, it could explain some of it. But, it's more than that; it's as if the heart is gone from him.

With Nicholas Cage, like Al Pacino, you get two actors in one. For his more mainstream, disposable assignments he overracts furiously, as does Pacino, but Cage can have his quieter moments in more worthy movies. He's excellent in "Raising Arizona", "Wild at Heart" and "Leaving Las Vegas".

You can thumb me down all you like, Nicholas (& Al), I don't lie!

A lot of actors do though, don't they? I'm not really a fan of Nicholas Cage, but I don't have anything against him either. I know it's really cheesy but the only films I really liked him in were Moonstruck and Peggy Sue Got Married.

He is more wooden than an oak tree.

My ex used to think that he was the most amazing actor to ever grace the earth. I was forced to endure tiresome hours of watching pap DVD's with Mr Cage in.

Best acting - 8mm
Worst acting - Gone in 60 seconds

I really wished that "Gone in 60 seconds" would do what it said on the box. That was a true stinker of a movie. Even Robert Duvall was cheesy...heartbreaking.

yes except for Leaving Las Vegas

Two exceptions: Leaving Las Vegas and Adaptation

your right from raising Arizona to con air he's the same guy
