the character played by donald Pleasance in The Great Escape, he said it to James Garner. Donald was the forger and he knew the others had realised he was going blind. He placed the pin to try and prove he wasn't but James puts his leg out and Donald cannot see it and falls. James insists he can cope with his friend and they escape. They eventually steal a plane but crash and are recaptured, it is one of my fave movies and have seen it so many times i have lost count
