Is it gay if I want to see that new Hannah Montana movie?!

Question: I am a 53 year old man and for some strange reason I want to see that movie... You know to see what all the fuss is about... I am not a child molester nor do I fantasize about little girls. My daughter wanted to go see it but she said that she wanted to go see it with her friends instead, and to be honest I was a little disappointed... (and not about not getting to spend time with my daughter either) I expressed my discontent and my daughter thought it was weird how angry I was about not getting to see it... I just wanted to know if it was normal for a 53 year old man to want to see a movie about a 14 year old girl??

you're just a responsible parent checking out your daughter's entertainment.

You might get kicked out because if your not with a kid they might think your a prev. And no it is not werid. My friend wanted to see barney!!

I would wait when it comes out on DVD.

It's a concert in - 3D, nothing special, it's just a huge rip-off.

Sort of off the topic..

Hannah Montana is pretty much Sanjaya (I can't spell his name, the dude from last season's American Idol) with even less talent.

They could put a taco on Disney channel, cover it in glitter and cheesy scripts, and it would achieve Super-Stardom.

It just goes to show how little most of today's youth appreciates talent. (I'm 13, and one of the lucky ones who can spot talent)

dont. theres no reason for you to see that movie or get angry

first off-
if you want to see it to see it, yeah go. parents often absorb part of the teenage culture. you may even want to subconciously bond with your daughter on some level.
"normal" is a relative word, there is no such thing as "normal."
and just lastly, when you say "gay" do you mean it in a demeaning and uneducated way or in the sterotype in which it could be construed you were "gay" for being a guy who likes a pop singer who is so unoriginal she has to pretend to be someone else.

but in all honestly, going to see the movie (though i think it's out on DVD) is totally fine. it's normal! :D

i am a 24 year old man and i want to see it i love the show

will the movie be on dvd i hope so

no it's so not gay. my best guy friend wants to go see it and he's definetly not gay. i know this bc he's my bf. but he's got a crush on her so he wants to go see and i want to go bc i want to see the jonas bros. hope this helps. and u shouldn't get kicked out either. they'll still take u'r money just say that u were going to check out the movie to make sure that it was ok for u'r daughter to go see. that's wat my mom did, but i think it's bc she really wanted to see it but whatevs. bye.

I dislike the use of the term "gay" when you may mean 'pathetic'.

However, there is ultimately nothing wrong with it. When Little meramid III comes out this august, I am buying it (I am 52). My only advantage over you is that I have been a Little mermaid fanatic since 1989; you do not have that strong of a time advantage with Hannah

I don't see anything wrong with you wanting to take interest in some of the movies that your daughter watches.

I'm 28 and I watch Hannah Montana with my 11-year-old brother. He thinks she's cute and the guys on there are pretty funny. It's a catchy and universal tv show. It doesn't make you a child molester. If you're having nasty thoughts about you and Miley Cyrus then you might want to re-evaluate your reasons for checking out the movie. But there is NOTHING wrong with a 53-year-old man wanting to see a movie starring a 14-year-old girl.

She's adorable and funny. I would check it out myself but I have other movies on my list that I want to see first. I say go and see it! You and your daughter can talk about the movie afterward and it might strike an interesting conversation, even if you don't see it together.
