Are You Tired of Movies With A Message?!
Question: In the past few years I have seen ALOT of movies that either spend an hour and a half trying to convey some 'deep' cliched image of the human psyche that we have all seen and heard before or spend two thirds of the movie entertaining you only to slap you in the face with some 'shocking' ending just for the sake of being shocking. Im sure about two or three somewhat recent movies come to mind for many people when I ask this question. I, for one, want to go back to just being entertained and not taught a lesson or told how 'animalistic' and 'savage' I am for being human. Been there done that. Yes. I don't really mind if the messages are good, they have been feeding us crappy messages. It's either crappy message or they are just repeating success projects so it really became a cliche.
I'm so sick of today's Hollywood.
They think they can change us and make us entertained with a movie that was made half-hearted. They don't pay any attention to the aesthetic values of movies, what are they trying to do?!

I think it would depend on the movie and how the message is delivered. I'm all for being entertained by films also but there's nothing wrong with a movie that makes you think. There are plenty of mindless films out there with no plot or substance whatsoever.
