Question about "The Village," possible plot hole?!

Question: I'm watching M. Night Shyamalan's "The Village" as we speak. I already know how it ends because I've seen it before. So here's the question:

At Ivy's sister's wedding, everyone hears a scream and finds out the "one's we don't speak of" have entered the town. After investigating, two of the elders (William Hurt and Sigourney Weaver) discuss the "warnings" that were left throughout the village: skinned animals and marks on the doors that were too high for a coyote to have made. Their conversation implies that they don't know how the marks got there. So... we later find out that the elders are the ones who ARE "the one's we don't speak of," right? So... who left all of the warnings that are discussed in that scene? Is this just a plot hole? Or was someone else acting as the creatures as well?

Noah Percy left the marks on the doors and the skinned animals outside. If you'll notice, he was not at the wedding.

They are talking to keep the allusion up?
They can't pretend not to be worried or yell out , 'Oh don't worry, it's just Harry running around in his dead animal suit.'

Their were other 'village elders' besides Hurt & Weaver's characters. They ALL had a hand in it.

the simpleton( cant remember his name) who found the costume is pretending just like he dose at the end....

Is not a plot hole..ALL the elders of the village were invloved..so some others went and made the marks..they wd plot and plan the stuff
