Question: When Jimmy 'Popeye' Doyle (Gene Hackman) was watching drug smuggler Alain Charnier (Fernando Rey) at the docks bringing his his car full of heroin into the US, you could see what looked like the south end of Manhattan behind Hackman and his working partner Buddy Russo (Roy Schneider)...and two ultra-high buildings which were still being built - and by then, were taller than the older skyscrapers. It couldn't be anything else, could it?
