I always get the title of this movie confused with the one where a scientist is keeping his wife's head alive, on a lab table; however, the one you're talking about, if I recall correctly, dealt with the severed head of a Spanish Conquistador, which is found by this girl with psychic powers. The head comes to life, hypnotizes the girl, and she uses her powers to find the rest of the body...
...I know that I'm going to mess this up, but I think that the title of the film is, "The Thing That Couldn't Die".....or maybe "The Head That Wouldn't Die"...or something like that...
