What movie caused you trauma/emotional disturbance?!

Question: I started boating with my parents when I was 3 years old. We would take our boat out to Zach's Bay which was the other side of Jones Beach (quite famous on Long Island, NY). We actually belonged to a small yacht club (sounds much fancier than it was), and every weekend in the summer, other boats from the yacht club would "tie up" with us... it was a great family experience - the adults would fish, play scrabble, read, have cocktails, etc. - the whole time we children would swim for hours and hours behind the boats - diving, swimming, water volleyball sunbathing on floats, etc.

My whole point to the above is that we ALL LOVED THE WATER AND SWIMMING -- until the first JAWS movie came out in 1974. From that moment on, just put me poolside with a good book and a raspberry martini !!!

Requiem For A Dream
And Saw, sadly enough because I couldn't believe what American thrillers are coming to.

When the original "Alien" came out, I had dreams about that thing chasing me around for... well, until today, now that I think about it.

Does that count? :)

oldboy. in subs, but wicked

8 legged freaks..
saw it when i was like.. 6

made me completly terrified of spiders

Pay it forward. I was so sad after that.
I was a lot younger then but its still heartbreaking!

The Others.
Grave of the Fireflies.
Rover Dangerfield.

Payback...left me feeling really weird..without knowing why.....
And hostel.....bc realistic....I live in mid-europe...

The Boat is Full.

"Jaws" (1975) I saw it when I was about 6-10 years old. It made me wary of going to the beach and swimming in the water. This was a problem because I grew up in Hawaii. Only recently have I been able to overcome my fears and actually start swimming and snorkeling at the beach but even then it's at the back of my mind.

The movie SAW was pretty wild. The concept of the movie haunted me for a few days because there are crazy people out there that actually do things to people like torture them, ect. Now I always remember to keep the doors and windows locked at night. That movie actually made me pretty paranoid about people in general and how people's minds work.
