What is CLOVERFIELD about?? Ive heard mixed reviews about it being good/bad?!

Question: Its about a group of friends throwing their mate a going away party before he heads off to Japan the night a enormous monster attcks NYC. The whole thing is portrayed behind a camcorder.

Since its all being taken from a camcorder, it tends to get a little shaky and blurry.

Critics and audience members panned the film due to its, lack of plot, such as the origins of the monster and to the motion sickness.

I recommend you don't eat popcorn while viewing this film.

a monster attacks new york. and its from the point of view of several twenty-somethings using a camcorder.

Basically, this monster thing, like, attacks Manhattan when this guy is about to leave for Japan, so it's during his going away party, and so, like, a bunch of people die and it knocks off the head of The Statue of Liberty and whatnot. I, personally, think it's a good movie. It does make you kind of dizzy, though.

Haven't heard many reviews yet. It is a "War of the Worlds-type" movie. From the trailer, it looks like it is shot in the style of the "Blair Witch Project". Seems like that would be a little boring after a while.

Monster movie in New York.
I enjoyed it but should've ended sooner, and a few complaints here and there.

You might get motion sickness, and that's why a lot of people don't like it it seems. :< But if you can overcome it...

A very big monster (unknown origin) attacks New York. Story centres around a group of friends trying to get to safety (and save the main dude's girlfriend) while filming the attack on a cam camcorder. You won't get any answers as to the why and what. You do get to see the monster but mostly the characters are avoiding falling things and the parasitic things that drop off the monster. I really enjoyed it. 8/10

It's about some weird monsters in New York, but I've been dying to see it. And my friends have been telling me that the ending sucks because the camera the movies being filmied by just breaks ( purposely ) at the ending. How lame is that.

Cb 1965 has obviously not seen it because the movie is most definitely NOT boring. It retains an aura of mystery through the whole movie. Rather than presenting the movie in a third person perspective, giving the audience an almost god-like knowledge of what is going on, it is told from the first person perspective which does two things.

A) It puts you right in the middle of what is going on.
B) You know no more than the people experiencing it.

This was a movie I can easily say I experienced rather than watched. The first 15 minutes are slow but once the action starts there is no pause.

You will either love this movie or you will hate it. There's only one way to find out...

yeah i thought this movie wasn't gonna make me sick. but 40 minutes into the movie, i just felt nauseous.

Well..my opinion...a good/excellent movie...BUT THE CAMERA MAN MAKES ME SICK!...i mean if u have those motion sickness thingy...dun watch it..

If you are ok with the ''motion sickness thing''....then watch it...cuz its great...about a monster attacking new york..
The first 5min...i got headache...but after another 5min or somehow...i start to enjoy it!...really!..it was so real...definitely the best movie!
