Anyone else tired of the "Split Personality Disorder" twist in films?!

Question: Ya know, in the end of the film, where it was the main character that really "did it," but didn't know because he has a "split personality." Personally, I think it's only one step away from the "This was all a dream" or the "Extremely unexpecting person was really the killer" twists. It was okay in "Psycho," but come on, isn't it overused? I mean, Dissociative Identity Disorder is widely controversial as is, having only a handful of documented cases, most coming from some nut doctor who wants his "findings" published so he can get "a name."

I agree! It is extremely rare. I was misdiagnosed with it and it almost ruined my life. I only "switched" personalities under the therapist's control, in her office.
I actually have post traumatic stress (which wasn't made any easier by a misdiagnosis).
It's like the unknown, like the witch hunts of old...they didn't understand things so people wanted to be heros...to be the first on the block to solve the mystery.
They end up hurt the inocent.
I will step down from my soapbox now...

That's one. The other is the "evil" twin everyone on TV or the movies seems to have.

The evil twin bull spit is even more annoying to me.
