Many haven't seen this old movie. EVERYONE goes away thinking it is the saddest movie they've ever seen. Not a dry eye in the house, as they say.

It's a wonderful movie, great romance story but very very tragic.
It's out right now I believe, but it's rated R for I think sexuality.
Peaceful Warrior this movies will change your life!!! And it is one of the saddest movies that I have ever seen over ALL!!

"Charlie" it's based on the book "Flowers for Algernon," which is incredibly sad. Also, I've never seen it but my brother said "PS I Love You" was really really sad.

I think Cinema Paradiso is one of the saddest movie I've seen.
Kind of sad, but bittersweet. Especially the ending will definitely make you cry.
I loved Dancer in the Dark - yes, Bjork acted in it, but its still amazing and very heart breaking

I know it's a cartoon, but Dumbo always makes me cry.
The Power of One is a wonderful, sad, moving story about the journey one man's life becomes. However, I think it may have a mild 'fight scene'.
I sobbed through The Green Mile, but that could be seen as 'suspensful'.
Oh, Man in the Moon. Very sad movie. Great, though. You should definately watch it, if you haven't already. Especially since you liked The Notebook.
