Any Batman fans here? If so, where is Robin in the movies?!

Question: A question..when is Robin gonna be introduced into the movies?
I mean, he isn't going to be in The Dark Knight, as it would say on IMDb or show in the trailer..so will he be in a possible 3rd batman movie?
If you've read any of the comics, I guess you'd know if the movies follow them and stuff..

Thanks!

Nolan is using Batman:Year One and the Long Halloween as his primary source material. Robin shows up as Dick Grayson (no Robin or costume) in The Long Halloween's sequel Dark Victory. However, Nolan has gone on record as saying he does not want Robin in his films. Nolan's goal has always been to make his Batman a real man, a plausability in the real world. He feels that Robin isn't plausible. First finding a child actor would be difficult as he needs to be the best aerialist/gymnast in the world. And a real person wouldn't take a child into crime fighting (Dick Grayson was about 8 years old in the original versions and the Dark Victory).

They decided to keep Robin out of the picture for the moment, there were too many complications already. They took a while to introduce him in the comic books as well.

I thought he was... in the original

it ant out yet look up heath ledger the guy that just died hes staring in it but due out in a few months i believe.

Batman fans know that Robin is much younger than Bruce Wayne. In the new Batman films (Christian Bale stuff) as the title suggests Batman is just beginning, and he is young, so based on the time line in which these new films lie in, Robin is probably no more than 14 years old.

After they introduced him in the last franchise, things went down hill. It wouldn't bother me too much if they held off introducing Robin into this new franchise.

at the very end of the The Dark Knight you will get to hear one of the guys talking about "The Flying Greysons", and if they keep going there should be another Batman movie, all the newer ones are taken from the graphic novels for Batman not the comics. All the others were Tim Burton screw ups (comic versions). You could tell because they even looked a bit cartoonish. But as far as Robin goes, keep in mind that at this point in the novels Dick would only be a young teenager. Because I know that Harvey Dent gets introduced (Tommy Two-Face) in the next movie, he still works for the city of Gotham and looks normal. So we may get to see them soon!!!

Robin was an orphan and underage. The character is politically incorrect for film these days.

he wasnt really in the graphic novels which they are following right now for the movies

didn't you see enough of robin in the series that almost killed comic book movies and they sort of follow the comics

Nowhere, and hopefully to never appear in the movies.
Robin is so bad that they had killed him permenantly in comics and no one cares.

Besides it makes Batman look gay and a pedophile. He doesn't need a sidekick

Robin did not apper untill batman and robin, which was the third of the 4 original films,
Batman begins was like star wars. it went back before the first batman with Jack Nicholson. So in theory the film list would be,

Episode 1 - Batman Begins,
Episode 2 - Batman Dark Knight
Episode 3 - Batman - the first film released
Episode 4 - Batman Returns
Episode 5 - Batman And Robin - robin apperance here
Episode 6 - Then the one with mr Freeze. (cant remember)

Steven S is wrong about Robin appering in Batman and Robin, he first appered in Batman Forever and then Batman and Robin.
Here is the list of Batman movies,
1) Batman: The Movie; the original 1966 movie based on the TV series of the same name, which had Robin in.
2) Batman, the 1989 remake of the original.
3) Batman Returns.
4) Batman Forever, that introduced Robin to the movie.
5) Batman and Robin.
6) Batman Begins, is how Batman becomes a crime fighter.
7) Batman: The Dark Knight, coming this Spring or Sommer.
