In the "olden" days copies were made using a mimeograph (Sp). The copies were made using an ink pad of some sort. The copies would be blue and when they were freshly made they had a unique smell. Kinda like glue/ink.

I HAVE ALWAYS WONDERED THAT TO!

But the world may never know....

But....it is still a freaking awesome movie!

the old carbon copies used to have a certain odor that would make you get high. (pre xerox days)

The students are smelling their papers because the chemicals used in the early predecesoors of Xerox were toxic and could get you a quick high. Kind of like smelling markers...at least that's what I've been told.

they want to get hiiiigh....soooo hiiiigh lol. everybody loves a fresh copy lol

The old mimeograph machines used an ink with a nice, intoxicating smell. It was probably toxic. Anyway, I can still smell that ink...

Foolish people watch movies.

I go to Church and worship God instead.
