Answers: Mine is the Original

' the omen'

i love horror films and i find they affect people in different ways my boyfriends 38 yr old uncle is scared shitless of the grude whereas i think its hilariouse but then i found the house of wax the scariest 1 iv seen hehe.

Mine was Signs with Mel Gibson and the aliens ! I really got into it, it was so realistic, I was starting to think it was actually happening!

dont bither watching scary films

the birds, freaks me out even now

the age i was when i saw it, yes the omen was well scary

but The Truman Show wins

anything with Tom Cruise in it!

I would have to say "Nightmare on Elm Street" the first one, I was only 14 at the time, and if i watch it again now, it would probably be really lame!

The Ring or Blair Witch Project

Then again I don't really watch scary films - too much of a wuss!

I'm going with "The Decent".... Scary stuff.

silence of the lambs - i stupidly went to see it wen i was pregnant - it was no coincidence - i lost my baby the next day - i had a miscarriage. i had nightmares for a year later. i have never seen a scrary movie since and never will.

The Exorcist....not the part where her head turns round or where she pukes on the priest but the suspense as the camera goes slowly upstairs towards the bedroom and to the door...you know what's inside...brrrrr.

Blairwitch Project

dirty dancing
i still have nightmares

Poltergeist....first scary movie I ever saw, the clown in that boys bedroom was just too scary for me, I still get scared when watching that movie.

the original exorcist

when i was a little The Exorcist

now id say.. The Girl Next Door (Jack Ketchum one, not the comedy) that movie ******* disturbed me

when i walked in on my sister watching it wen i was litlle and it scared me silly

it was called WORMS
but ive never heard of it since

My dear Auntie (of a mature -but zesty age) was given a Digital Video Cam this Chrimbo--- exactly WHAT she has on 'Film' at this moment scares the living hell out of me!

I have to agree with you there one of the best scariest films i have ever seen. Wolf creek scared me silly though. Oh god am still scared just thinking about it now.

I am rarely that scared when I watch scary movies, but for some reason I had to turn Texas Chain Saw Massacre off when I started watching it. I guess the blood and guts part of some scary movies is not my thing.

a steven king movie called "kujo" about the german shepherd with rabies. That scared the crap out of me when i was younger because it is possible for humans to get rabies

The Vanishing (the original one) was quite disturbing. No gore or blood or anything like that. But it really plays on people's mind...

I DON'T watch scary movies!!!! they give me nightmares! i don't care if u call me sissy.

The ENTITY with Barbara Hershey it was scary as it was based on true life events.

pet sematary by stephen king and event horizon scared me too but pet sematary takes the cake

* The Exorcist - being Catholic it reminds me the fight against evil is unending.
* The Silence of the Lambs & Red Dragon - you are truly creeped out by how subtle the idea of a serial killer seeming so tranquil and unstereotypical makes me peek over my shoulder constantly.
* Dawn of the Dead (both) - zombies creep me out; how can you fight something that's already dead? I totally freak out at the zombie movies of any kind. (Eeeep!) Both fast or slow, zomebies are very scary to me.
* The Phantom of the Opera - (with Robert Englund) - very unnerving & scary. The obsessive & ever-lasting factors of it all, when you think about it, make you wonder just how far evil will travel even through time.
* The Omega Man (and I Am Legend) - the idea of being left completely alone in the world scares me senseless.
* The Texas Chainsaw Massacre - I keep my gastank full when crossing any large long roads in this state simply for that reason. You don't know what's out there in the dark sometimes.
* ReAnimator - if you don't know the movie I won't tell you. Find it yourself.

I don't know if you're looking for references or thoughts as to what other people find creepy but here are my suggestions. Despite the fear-factors of it all I LOVE watching these movies, but usually during the daytime.

Many Blessings!

Strangeland
It totally freaked me out

poltergiest

John Carpenters HALLOWEEN!

Spice Girls the Movie

Oh, there are two, both Japanese :

The Ring and Audition.

Alien.
