My friend returned an opened CD that he had listened to. He said that he didn't realize the CD would be edited, which it was, and they let him get a refund. I would try it. Bring the receipt in and ask to speak to a manager. Whoever is ringing up returns, ask them to speak to their manager. Try to speak to whoever is in charge and explain your case. They should sympathize since they do sell edited CDs and are conscious of language and content and they can see that you are under age. It might help to have a parent go with you and defend you. since your parents were upset, this should be no problem. Your parents can express their outrage that you were allowed to buy an R movie, and will also help the people at WalMart take you seriously. Good luck. I think it will work.

Sorry walmart usually doesn't take back movies or games.

I work there, they will take anything back, even without the reciept. I' ve seen food returned 2 months after it was bought. I would still take the receipt with you, but they will take it back, at least mine would.

Ask for an exchange, have your reciept and do it as soon as possible. Stores are more willing to trade merchandise than money. If they try to say no, tell them your parents are upset because you're not old enough to buy it.(You see the cashier hits a button after they ask your age, which they clearly didn't) I'm sure they'll be all too happy to cooperate.

as long as it is un-opened, you cannot return it if it has been open, due t copy-write laws. It can be exchaned for the exact same Disc, but no refunds

I don't think so.
It was your fault, not theirs.

if the movie is already open, they will just tell you can exchange it for the same movie only. no rufund either.

If you have the receipt and it is not opened you can get a refund. If it has been opened, they might let you exchange it for another movie. It depends on your Wal-mart, but they usually don't return opened movies at all. Some places like Blockbuster give you a trade-in credit for movies too.

Bring your parents with you - and explain that you bought the movie cause of Jim Carrey and was not aware that it was rated R - they should have NOT sold it to you - it falls inder the same laws as tobacco and alcohol. - I know at the Wal-Mart I shop at even if i go thru the self check out ,a CSM has to do an over-ride for R rated movies.

they'll take it back as long as its not opened.

considering it's walmart, they may.
