No doubt about it -- the original Star Wars Trilogy.
Depends on which Star Trek, The original series and spinoff movies were dull. Some of the new series are way better.
Ditto with Star Wars, Original Trilogy rocks but new trilogy sucks.
In short Old Star Wars beats Old Star Trek but New Star Trek beats New Star Wars.
I don't watch either of them.
I am a true fan of both.
As far as sheer volume, Star Trek has hundereds of hours of fun. Star Wars has 6 episodes at approximatly 2 hours each, you can also count the clone wars, and Ewoks movie . I would not count the star wars holiday special. So maybe 16 hours. In that star trek wins.
Sta wars is cooler for hand to hand combat, as well as dog fights. The ship to ship battles are better in star trek, especially last 2 seasons of DS9.
Also, episodes 4,5,&6 of Star Trek showed aliens, but no cultures. While Star Trek showed rich cultures, like Vulcans, Trills, Klingons, Ferengi. Later, in episodes 1,2 &3 star wars made a much better show of cultures with Naboo, and the Neimodians.
If you throw in video games, for the most part Star wars games are pretty good, better than most star trek games.
Their books tend to be better too, well not better, but they are considered Lore to most fans while most Trek books are not. Trek is good if you do not want to follow the same group. its got 5 programs to choose from.
so its hard to say. Even though id love to have a lightsabre and "the force" i think the trek universe technology is far closer to our grasp than that of star wars "force" is.
I also think that a fleet of Federation Vessels will kick the crap out of a fleet from either the empire or the rebels.
Even the death star has a weekness. The big gun has to be pointed at you, and the Federation ships would take it out easily from an angle, or by beaming anti-matter bombs into it.
Hard to say, good question. Again, i love both.
