I was just about to ask a similar question. More than likely, if the film isn't done, they will re-audition the other actors who were considered for the role. But (bleep), Heath was going to be a killer joker, (bleep)

There is going to be a sequel to The Dark Knight where Two-face will be the main villain, the Joker was going to supposedly be in it as well. Report It

    • It's not hard to find a replacement actor. They've changed Batman, who is the lead. They can do it with the Joker.

    Seriously, I think the fact that Heath Ledger is dead and Batman being the main concern is sick. What about his family? His daugther?

    No, as long as the movies are still okay...
    Supposedly the movie is in "post production", usually meaning, filming is done. So, who knows what this means for the release. Or if out of respect, they won't release it?
    But considering how much money it probably took to make the thing, and that Hollywood is very money grubby, it will be released with some shpeal saying, "in memory of...."

    and NO my main concern is not about Batman. I am shocked and sad for him and his family. Tho considering I've been greatly anticipating this movie, how can I not wonder about the whole movie situation? duh
    i dont think they will but this is a big tradgey
    They killed the Joker at the end of the original movie, so no reason they couldn't have done the same here. Even if they don't kill him, there's also no reason they can't do more movies without using the character. Batman has a good deep rogues' gallery they can dip into without having to use the Joker again.
