I like sequels. i dont like it when they make too many though. like if they made another star wars movie i wouldnt go see it. they are pretty much finished after 6 of them. they try to overmilk them and i hate that. but sequels are good. such as the terminator. terminator 2 was definately superior.
Some sequels are okay. The ones that really bother me are the ones that dont even have the same people in it. Those are just pointless.

some sequels are okay, but most ruin the way you felt about the original!
its all about telling a story... as long as their is more to go with. Rocky 1 & 2 then Rocky Balboa would have been enuff plus the Godfather should have stopped at 1 & 2, i think... Bourne movies are awesome and could go forever... i hope they make 1 more when he is suppossed to have a couple of kids living a quiet life until his past catches up and all hell breaks loose.
I agree sometimes it was better left alone. Usually they suck big time. The only sequels I own are Final Destination 2 and 3. Of course the first was the best
So so so true! The first one will be absolutely amazing, and then they try and extend the story and completely destroy what the first one had established. Some do work well, however.
Normally the orginal is the best.
but some like National Treasure 2 are great!
i agree with you completely especially WHEn the first was was SO dumb like that inspecter gadget. Now the toy Story films and Pirates fo the Carribean films are an esception--it just depends on the series
i like it when all the sequels have already been written or planned; you know, like that ones that have like clues so when you watch the next one you say "oh thats what it was about"
but i really hate the ones that have nothing common like bruce almighty & evan almighty
Especially Disney sequels like Cinderella 2, 3, 4, etc that have nothing whatsoever to do with the original story.
Some are fine and in very rare cases they may be better than the original. Most though are incredibly unnecessary and ruin the whole story. Unless you are bringing in brand new characters, keep the original actors the same for both. Some people don't know when to stop.
Here are some examples of the sequel being the superior flick:
Terminator II, Aliens, Final Destination II, Godfather II, Start Wars III.

i know right, 2 good movies i can think of off the top of my head is the 2 jakes the sequel to chinatown and godfather 3.
