I hung out until the credits ended and you hear Rob speaking. It was hard to make out, but I heard "Now what?"
Apparantly JJ had a reverse mask and when played backward Rob says "It's still alive". JJ is planning a sequel due to a record breaking box office weekend for January.
That is interesting you bring that up, because I too waited until the end of the movie, only to hear that strange whispering sound.
I didn't know it was coming, but I listened carefully when I heard it. I can't tell for the life of me what that person it saying.
You can tell it is a man, but i would wait for some fanatic with some good audio software to sort it out. Until then, it is a good mystery.
And so is the rest of the movie.
