What is the most depressing film to watch ever?!

Question: Requiem For A Dream. A great film but don't watch it just before bed. I did and had to watch a comedy afterwards to clear my mind enough to go to sleep.

The Machinist

"notebook"...its the most beautiful film but so sad and moving...makes you think about ur love life , falling in love and if u will ever have what the main charachters have...soo sad

Last Man On Earth..........was a pretty lonely ending. There wasn't even anyone on Yahoo Answers for him to answer questions. Was a real tear jerker. Sooooo sad...too bad.

REQUIEM FOR A DREAM

I'm certain this one will show up more than once because it is THE bleakest film set in a real-life situation that I have ever seen. It truly seems hopeless for these four people who definitely should have followed the caution "Just say no!"

the answer i requiem of a dream, every body accept mark j is a uneducated retard. High five mark

Blood Diamond or Last King of Scotland

The butterfly effect
Scanner darkly

"1984" based upon Orwell's novel.
The new Egyptian masterpiece "IT'S CHAOS" (when it comes to direction this movie is surely a masterpiece,co-directed by the legend Youssef Chahine and his elite student Khalid Youssef) but unfortunately,as soon as you step out of the theater, you'll suffer the worst depression state man might ever encounter.

Bastard out a Carolina Directed by Angelica Houston. The book is worse. Brilliantly written with some headshaking moments in it to defy description. Saw it once...and only once it shall be.

If you have children...I would stay away from the Japanese anime....Grave of the Fireflies. You'll need a box of kleenex...before the movie is done...and it just gets worse right up 'till the end.

The Korean movie.... Oldboy.... is definitely a piece of work and like nothing you have ever seen...and the thermatic sequel to Oldboy is called Sympathy for Lady Vengeance. If you have been separated from your child for any length of time...or have been scarred by having been accused of something you did not do...you might really want to stay away from this film.

There are also the Korean crime/noir classics...Diary of June...and Princess Aurora........ Whew!! All I could do is shake my head after watching these two films. Both have an epilogue...a final act.....that is..... just.....plain..... wrong.

Watch these films with someone you love please. You'll both need the company...and the boxes of kleenex.

Fateless

A film about the fate of Hungarian Jews during World War II

If you're into Animated films I would say Grave of Fireflies... It's about two orphaned children at the end of the WW2, just thinking about it makes me sad
