If the movie makes enough money, sure. We only saw one video. Pretty cool movie.
If you want a sequel, then you completely missed the point of the movie. It wasn't about the monster itself. It's about the terror people go through in a crisis. All of the main characters died in the end (Yes, Jason's girlfriend tried to escape in the 'copter, which was shot flaming out of the sky, at which point Hud yells something when he sees it). There can't really be a sequel if the main characters are lost. Besides, there wouldn't be a sequel. A companion film that told it from a different perspective maybe, but not a sequel.
I would like to know what happened to Beth and her ex-boyfriend if they got squashed by the monster, eaten by its bug minions, or rescued by the Marines. So there might be a sequel since the movie will probably already be a money maker by the end of this weekend.
I heard that there is going to be a sequel... If anyone waited after the end of the credits you hear rob saying that its still alive... I think that the sequel is going to be shot from a different perspective... maybe from a different person...
