How do they find old props for movies?!
Question: ya know, like an old eight-track player from the sixties, or 18th century furniture or clothes, for doing old-time movies? Seems it would difficult to track down all that old stuff.

The studios have some very talented cabinet makers, carpenters and seamstress that can make anything. Most of what you seen in movies is new or was drug put of the property departments warehouse and was probably used in a previous movie. You will find in the credits of a movie "Wardrobe by Edith Head" or someone else. They design and have the costumes made.
There are companies in Hollywood that specialize in period props, kinda cool places to visit.
