If you have seen the movie cloverfield, What is the background story?!
Question: SO where does the monster come from? Is he an alien or has he been on earth forever? Some people say that at the end of the movie they show footage of some people on vacation and you can see it fall from the sky, Is THIS true? I tired of hearing speculation and just want to know from someone who saw and understood the movie. Thanks ahead of time!

It FOR SURE DOES fall from the sky in the footage.
the whole premise of the movie is that the video is being taped OVER a great date that he had a few days before the actual event, so at the end after the monster carnage fotage ends, it starts playing the end of the day of their date footage and you can see if shoot down to the right of what he is filming. Swear to god.
It's very subtle, but i saw it and i know there will be alot of people that did not. They definately didn't make a big deal about it.
It doesn't really say because it's suppose to be a documentary from some people who just happen to be recording.No that's not true.About the vacation thing.
the monster came from the sea and have been here for a long time the people on vacation are the main players from a video taken a couple of months earlier anything that big would have been noticed by everyone

They never address where the monster comes from, what the hell the monster is, or what becomes of it at the end of the movie. Its wide open. Well, you do see a clip of what is suppose to be the monster falling from the sky from space into the ocean...but even that is very speculative.
I absolutely hated the film. People were booing it when it went off at the theater i was at. It was the most horrible movie ive ever seen in my life.
