Question: I remember seeing this on tv when I was a kid during the late 90's or early 2000.
I only remember one scene where there is lava flowing into a city, so a bunch of people put concrete barriers at the intersections and they use rescue vehicles to push the concrete barriers into the lava to slow it down.

My daughters, now in their 20s, had a favorite inside game when they were my little girls. One would call, "Hot lava!" and then the two of them would attempt to move through the house without stepping on the floor! It was hilarious to watch their attempts, and hear their [reasons/excuses/justification] for why they didn't "perish" when forced to touch the floor.
