Question: As much as as I have always respected, and admired Gene since I was a kid. I really honestly think he wanted to get canned by Donald Trump.

Answered this in length in another post but Gene definitely took the sword for Nelly. He even said he completely disagreed with Trump about her. And I agree, she at least has a vision even if she's a bit off.
And Omarosa immediately was defensive to protect herself and she just didn't get it until the end (which is why Gene said what he said to her & walked with her to the boardroom), which is why she completely calmed down and was as shocked as everyone.
Gene's a hardass, but he rocked with class. And that was cool. My respect for the dude (which was high) went up 110%.
Did he get fired? I haven't watched. I'm not surprised. I have a lot of respect for Gene and his accomplishments but other than making a spectacle of himself I don't think he's ever done any type of work like they'd be expected to do on that show. At least not in the last 35 years.

He wanted to show off, but he is awesome. He made the show and the ratings are gonna go down now. Trump did not want to fire him but he wanted to challenge Trump. I dont think he cared whether he got fired or won!
Gene Simmons is a self centred, egotististical wanker. Anyone who walks out of a radio station while theyre a guest just because their new album wasnt played on air even though it was politely mentioned to him that the segment was the 80s hour, not new songs doesnt receive my respect.
I was shocked!! I did not see that coming. Who would have thought that he was that intelligent? It does, infact seem that he wanted to get canned. I was also wondering if the firing had something to do with him insulting Ivanka last week. Sad to see him go, but, Hydra pulled it off again this week.
He knew he'd be fired (as he deserved to be, because he completely blew the marketing message), so he engineered it so that he fired himself.
I was so thrilled that I had to blog it immediately.
