Name of Tom Cruise movie . . .?!

Question: i think he made it just before or after risky business and it was a low budget movie. he played a guy at college on a football scholarship and he liked the woman who trained the cheerleaders - played by morgan fairchild. his father was mixed up in the mob and his mother was in a mental institution raving about flying dwarfs. it had a great final scene where he scored a touchdown with a broken leg.

The football movie IS All the Right Moves BUT Morgan Fairchild isn't in it and his father isn't in the mob.

His father is a worker in a steel mill, he is in high school not college and I don't remember his mother being in a mental institution.

That is the only "football" movie around the time of Risky Business that Cruise was in.

Leah Thompson played his girlfriend but she wasn't a cheerleader, she played the saxophone in the band.

Also, he didn't win the game at the end with a broken leg. Craig T. Nelson's character offered him a ful scholarship to a college in California.

all the right moves- craig t nelson played the over the line tough coach. lea thompson was the cheerleader/ girlfriend.

all the right moves

All The Right Moves with Craig T. Nelson and Lea Thompson.

endless love?? 1981
