I've been watching horror films since I was way too young to be watching them!
I like films across the 1960's, 70's, and 80's, and a couple from the 90's.

Some of my favourites, in no particular order :~

Hammer Horror 'Dracula' series {7 films}
Nothing But the Night
The Wicker Man {original}
Wolfen
House on Haunted Hill
The House That Dripped Blood
Dr. Terror's House of Horrors
The Devil Rides Out
The Howling {first one}
The Fog {original}
Asylum {1972}
Halloween {first one}
The Legend of Hell House

Love them. My favourites are the 70's stuff like The Omen, the original TCM, Rosemary's Baby and The Exorcist.
I like some of the Modern ones too, probably one of the best recent ones would be Wolf Creek for me, but I also enjoyed the remake of The Hitcher and Vacancy.
I don't really like the Hostel or Saw movies, I didn't find them at all scary.

I love horror movies also!! Heres a list of my favorites...

Blair Witch Project
The Birds
Friday the 13 1-4
Saw
Halloween
Halloween H2O
Carrie
13 ghosts
Wrong turn
House of 1,000 corpses
Gacy
Scream 1
Exorcist
Texas Chainsaw Massacre

I am a big fan of horror movies and books. My favorites include anything by Stephen King or Alfred Hitchcock and pretty much anything to do with the occult (I.e. vampires and werewolves). My favorite, though it is an injustice to the book, is Anne Rices "Interview with a Vampire" :)

As a child, I was allowed to stay up late on a Saturday night to watch BBC2s late night double bill, showing such classics as Them, Curse of the Werewolf, Frankenstein et al. From 9 years old onwards, I read nothing but horror novels well into my teens. As an adult, I still love to watch the old classics (which are now shown on TV mid-afternoon - how times change) I will sit and watch horror movies from every decade, although I have recently developed a taste for gore movies (they are funny to me) My favourite 'genres within a genre' are the modern asian horrors and the old 50's American International movies made when cold war paranoia inspired a multitude of nuclear mutants and ominous aliens...

Mi favs would have to be the classics Hellraiser, Freddy Kruger and Jason

motocross zombies from hell
the quick and the undead
revenge of bloody bill
stepford wives (2004)
Mullberry street
cube 1
cube 2
cube 3

i will always know what you did last summer..

Yeah, my favourites are the saw triligy and hills have eyes 1 and 2

I love them! I prefer a horror movie that has a good story.Massive amounts of blood and violene doesn't always mean a good movie.Some of my faves include;The Devils Backbone,Legend of Hellhouse,Happy Birthday To Me,Exorcist,Hellraiser 1,Army of Darkness,Scream 1,Carrie, Amityville and Amityville 1992-It's About Time. There are just sooooo many . Hollywood needs to come up with some fresh original horrer stories.....enough with the pointless gore it,s not that impreesive and is way over done.Don't get me wrong,I like gore but it needs to be backed up by a good story.

horror movies very good yep i like them movies from 60s 80s horror.. 90s horror is not horror

If they are about serial killers. I love Seven and Twelve Monkeys and Fight Club (all 3 have Brad Pitt. Hmmm.)

Me too.My fav is Scream.And I like all the movies made since 70s to now.

I love horror movies.
Freddy is the best cuz he talks trash while he kills.
80's were the best era but today's movies are actually better movies but 80's still rock

I LOVE HORROR! Love to see blood and guts and veins. Love to hear people scream and watch them get chased down and hacked up. I know, sounds sick doesn't it? BUT I LOVE IT! MUAHAHAHAHAHA! As for the best eras, not sure. There are so many great horror movie from each era. I guess I would have to go with the 80s. I love animatronic effects like the werewolf change in "The Howling". I can not stand this computer generated horror effects they got going on today like in "Van Helsing" the werewolf is SO FAKE LOOKING! Give me good ole' fashioned blood splatters any day! Some of my favorite horror movies of all time is a toughy also. SO many to choose from, so here is a list of some of my favorites but by far not all of them!

The Howling
Rabid Grannies
Fright Night
Redneck Zombies
Halloween
Suspiria
Hellraiser 1 and 2
Alien and Aliens
Clownhouse
Creepshow
The Lost Boys
The Puppet Master
The Host
The Descent
Feast
Hatchet
Friday the 13th 1 thru 4
TCM
Deadly Friend
Silver Bullet
Scream
Pumpkinhead
Rawhead Rex
Phantasm
Ginger Snaps

You ain't kidding Nightowl....Big Time Horror Movie Fan here
My All Time Horror Top 10
1 Alien
2 Jaws
3 Dawn Of The Dead (Original)
4 28 Days Later
5 The Thing
6 The Fog (Original...the Remake is a travesty)
7 Day Of The Dead
8 The Texas Chainsaw Massacre (Original)
9 Dawn Of The Dead (Remake)
10 The Hills Have Eyes (Remake)

A really creepy movie from the 70's was "Don't look now" starring Donald Sutherland & Julie Christie.
A Weird little TV movie was "Bad Ronald"
Of course I liked the 70's horror movies because there was a cutting edge (no pun intended) about them.
