If you're looking for cinematic masterpieces, don't watch these films. But if you are looking for a fun way to spend 90 minutes and escape reality, they are great films!! I personally loved Top Gun - Tom Cruise was actually cool back! Pretty Woman is one of the best "chick flicks" ever. I don't think Dirty Dancing is as much fun as the other two. 80's movies are successful because they were just pure entertainment, these movies weren't created to win awards or make a statement. They had pretty good soundtracks, too.

Dirty Dancing and Pretty Woman are, I haven't seen Top Gun. Those movies ARE really overrated though....

They were all really good. I give Pretty Woman first place, then Top Gun. I was in highschool during the 80's, and I chose to steer clear of drugs.
80s movies are great.
