Saturday Night Fever?!

Question: What did you think of the movie Saturday Night Fever and what was your favorite scene?

Answers: What did you think of the movie Saturday Night Fever and what was your favorite scene?

I love that movie and agree with what the first guy said. People might assume it's frivolous, but it's really quite serious in tone/subject matter etc. Favourite scene is where they're up on the bridge & that guy (can't remember his name) says "How come you never called me?" to John Travolta - that bit kills me, it's so sad.

Sorry must mention one more bit, this time funny, when John Travolta says "Al Pacino!" while he's standing there in his underwear. That always makes me laugh!

...a lot of people tend to put off the film, as some sort of numb and mindless disco throwback, but in fact, it is one hell of a mature, compelling, highly dramatic and poignant coming-of-age love story, both of the disco phenomenon, and of course, of the ensuing romance associated with the film...

...if I had to pick a particularly favorite scene, it would have to be, of course, the undeniably classic dance club scene, where John Travolta's charactor, Tony Manero, struts his stuff to the Bee Gee's hit song, "You Should Be Dancing"....

i love saturday night fever i love the music and john travolta is reaaly cool in it its such a funky movie

One of my favorite films ever. It darker and more complex than most people remember. It tends to get dismissed as "that disco film" when it's really so much more.

My favorite scene is the whole "don't hit my hair" scene because there's so much going on under the surface.
