American History X is a movie that should be shown in High School?!


Question: I remember when I was in High School we watched Holocaust related films such as The Devils Arithmetic, Schindler’s List, and other movies like October Sky, Apollo 13… I think that this movie should be shown. What do you think?

I agree, great movie and no one realizes how much of this particular racial issue goes on some high schools.

    I watched it in school, one of the best movies I have ever seen.

    American History X, Blow, and Boyz in Da Hood were 3 great movies I saw in school.

    a bit of a hack film to show in HS, but I tend to be against most civics lesson films due to other issues. (old AP Gov class showed Dave... which I almost lost it)

    I think it should be shown because it is part of our history and if kids are going to learn it the right way i believe they need to see it as well as read and hear it.
    Sure...or if not, students must make something like a book/movie review of it. Great movie, credible acting and timely issue involved on racism and that illusion of belongingness or brotherhood in a gang
