What does everyone think about having a new Rambo movie?!

Question: I am still a little stunned to tell you the truth. Isn't he a bit old?

Answers: I am still a little stunned to tell you the truth. Isn't he a bit old?

My first thought was.. "Rambo in a wheelchair?"

Then I got to thinking about Terminator 3.. Arnold wasn't in-shape for the film, and they had him wear a fake torso. They pulled it off pretty well.

I dunno' though.. what would Rambo look like, wearing a special effects torso appliance?

THEN, I saw the first two trailers for the movie on Xbox LIVE.

I sat there, expecting to laugh at it.. expecting to see a crappy little film, with some guy obviously too old to be doing this sorta' thing, but then I looked..

I have to tell you.. in all honesty, I was significantly impressed. I think his age works for him.. he's thick, he has presence. If he picked you up with one hand and glared at you.. you'd die on the spot. If anything.. his age makes it more believable and impressive.

There's no denying the guy's a solid powerhouse, and the movements I saw in the trailers seemed pretty fluid, not stiff at all.

I was impressed and watched them again. My girlfriend and I were both like"... uhh.. wow!"

We've decided we're gonna' see it within a few days of it's release. Most likely the story isn't going to be "incredible" but I'm not going for that.. I just miss Rambo, the way he was in part 1, and this version looks GOOD... :)

Usually when a movie is re-made ~30 years later, different actors are used.

I, too, find it strange that Stallone would want to star in his own remake. He should have been happy with being a producer (or whatever).

But... I'll probably fork over my 10 bucks to see it.

.

I'm excited. A bit concerned until I saw clips from the movie. Sly might be getting up there in age, but he still looks great. On a news feature I saw recently they laid a clip from the older Rambo movies side by side with the new Rambo movie - and he really hasn't changed that much.

oh ok jsut to infrom everyone this isnt a remake of the first blood rambo movie at all..... its about stallone having a better purpose to fioanlly settle his inner killing combat as explained in rambo 3... he wants to have a better purpose and tie off some lose ends. i think its going to be a very good one

I am definitely intrigued to go and see it. The previews definitely caught my eye. I know everyone was into the stereotype of being 'oh well another rambo movie'.... but I certainly think if he did a really good job on Rocky Balboa..... then I'm game to watch Rambo.....I've read that it is a much darker movie than his others......but i'm also a guy and a bit of an action junkie.....

I would watch that.
