What could possibly be the motivation for this cinematic garbage?!

Question: I just saw the trailer for Meet the Spartans, and I can't believe they're even making it after the total failure of Epic Movie. It's going to go down a the worst movie of all time, I know it.

And I'm also sort of insulted that they're going to spoof up something as totally awesome as 300.

There is a market for what a lot of people consider low brow comedy. The motivation is the same reason most movies are made - economic. It makes money. It really is that simple.

You know how they say, "If it exists, there's porn about it"? Well, if it gets enough people to like it, there will be a parody of it. And if it gets enough people to hate it, there will be a parody of it. Witness the ever-increasing "Leave (celebrity's name here) Alone!" videos. And anything as pompous as Gerard Butler and his Spartans deserves the treatment.

I agree. It does look retarded. As long as people spend money to see such garbage, they'll keep making this crap. Parodies are the knock-knock jokes of comedy movies.
