How often do you watch the 'extras' on DVD's?!

Question: I try to every after I watch the movie every time. I have picked up many useful hints and lots of good information on how to make my writing better and how to put together a more thorough package for a film project from watching what others have done.

For example, I was watching Ice Princess with the commentary turned on the other day, and Michelle Trachtenberg mentioned that she was doing all this physical work every day skating, and her body was changing as a result. Her muscles were getting bigger and more toned, and it led to the necessity to keep changing her skating outfit and hemming it and whatever. This led to an unforeseen expense in the wardrobe department.

I was busy putting together a budget proposal for my own movie about skating at the time, so I added some contingency for the wardrobe department. Kinda interesting, huh.

It depends on the movie. I have watched the extras of about the 30-40% of the movies I have.

LIKE TWICE

Well I've watched the Extra's of all 3 Pirate movies. I guess if there is a movie that I just love and actually watch it over and over I'll watch the extra's so I get a more indepth knowledge of the movie!! Extra's rock!!

if i really like the movie, bored, or i weanna see an alternate ending

Every time I watch a dvd, I watch the extras first, with one exception: If it's a movie I've never seen before, I watch it first, then watch the extras to see deleted scenes & alternate endings if there are any.

: )

Depends on the movies but I usually watch them. My favorite is the commentary on Spinal Tap done in character. Hilarious.

Next to never.
so many of them are boring.

never...isn't it a waste?

When I first get the dvd I watch the extras. After that I don't bother.

Star Wars is another story...

we (my husband and I) always watch the extras. If they are on the DVD, we watch them!

rairly if ever it's just extra jucnk that give them an excuse to charge a bit more money and have you buy 6 diffrent copies

I always watch the extras. My wife doesn't like them, but she hast to deal with it. I especially love the commentaries. There is all kinds of cool stuff you don't see in the movies or know about untill you watch it.

the first time i watch a dvd i usually watch deleted scenes and alternate endings at least one time....theyre never good so i usually think "wow thats 10 min ill never get back" i havent learned from my mistakes yet as i continue to watch extras

9 out of 10 times I'll watch the extras, esp. if they are bloopers, deleted scenes or behind the scenes footage.

Depends how good the movie is
