Fahrenheit 9/11

The Exorcist. To this day, and I'm 40 now, I cannot watch it alone or with my husband. It's too damn scary!

When I was a kid Alien and John Capenter's The Thing scared me alot.

the house on haunted hill

defenitaly the exorcise but not the old one the old one is boring

The exorsist of course.
The gudge.
The ring 1&2.
The Omen.

I've been a horror movie fan from the early 60's...out of all the movies I've seen, the scariest has been "Event Horizon". I've always loved the "Exorcist", too!

the sixth sense and the grudge.

The Howling
Silence of the Lambs (really a thriller)

havent seen the shining but the exorsist freaks me out the most mostly because it REALLY COULD HAPPEN!

i try not too think about it and i believe since that i believe in god a demon wont harm me

The Thing - the 1980's remake, not the original.

I am with you on that one, scary movies aren't what they used to be and I love scary movies too!!!

Mine would be:
Darkness Falls, the scream in the movie sent chills down my spine.
Pet Sematary, can't go wrong with Stephan King.
Carrie, again another Stephan King.

The original Halloween! I saw this movie on November 1st 1978, which was the day after the movie took place. It was kinda surreal to me. All other horror movies are comical to me. At least most of the newer movies have great soundtracks.

The Shining
Friday The 13th (the first one only the rest sucked)
Some of the really old ones but I don't know the names

Imprint (its banned from cable you can only get it at best buy or some where like that)
And
Audition (realy freaky!!)

The scariest movie I have seen is Show Girls, just thinking about it sends chills up and down my back.

I was in college and watched "Alien" on cable with my room-mate. We screamed so loud when the alien popped out of the guy's chest that my downstairs neighbor (&landlord) came running up to check on us. He was sure that something had happened to us!

Halloween (both new and old)

My top 3 (all original versions):

1. The Exorcist
2. The Evil Dead
3. The Omen

Understand that THE BEST Horror movies were released in the late 70's and Early 80's (some of them sporadically released through the 70's) but after 1986 the genre really ended. Today's FX are just too fake and today's movies & remakes are just EMBARRASSING. In my opinion this Horror genre has met its end. I can list many great classicks still. But bottom line, this genre is over. Incredibly over.

Carrie(the original - of course)
