well let me see shoot em up wasn't a bad movie when I saw it well actually a really good shooting movie it really does live up to its name.
Pirates of the carribean and lord of the rings trilogy are definately worth seeing if you haven't seen them.
Mel Gibsons Apocalypto is definately a must see as well if you haven't seen that.
If you love cartoon/animation films ratatuile(however you spell that) thats a good movie with that mouse as a cook.
300 is one brillant movie. stardust isnt bad if you like fairy tale kinda story like theme. The depart is a really good movie a really funny plot how everyone ends up killing each other lol.
The new die hard isn't bad it is more about the modern age of computers and that but do pack a bag of action. The golden compass isnt bad either but its kinda short if your looking for one of those films that take you for a big adventure. O yeah forgot The simpsons its a really good cartoon I loved. Transformers now that one is another must see if you its got that action and has a good finish. The bourne ultimatum well i havent seen the series so when i watched it I thought it was kinda a short story line, but good action. Rush hour 3 thats a must see, well im a jackie chan fan so I love all his movies. I am legend if its out on dvd over there its kinda boring at the start but has an awsome finish. The warlords its a chinese movie with like one battle scene which I enjoyed, but probably not for you as it is in chinese. Lust caution another chinese film well it wasn't bad i guess. Black sheep maybe if you like a new experience of sheep gone wild, its an ok film but since im a kiwi I suggest it lol.
The new James bond movie was actually pretty good if you have seen that. Atonement is a more of a romance if your that kinda guy who like romance. Ive seen a lot of movies but I can't seem to think of many right now lol.

The Bourne Movies are great. If you haven' seen Pirates of the Caribbean, those are good too. I've also hear that Tom Clancy's movies (Jack Ryan) are great. Never seen those though. There's four spread over time.
