How come there isn't an "ELVIS" or "THE BEATLES" movie o!

Question: and i don't mean the low budget straight to dvd or a tv production.a real hollywood production.

Answers: and i don't mean the low budget straight to dvd or a tv production.a real hollywood production.

Most of the time, TV productions are better because they usually create miniseries or extra-long films. Compare "Walk the Line" to the work done on TV, and you'll see that that Johnny Cash flick is AWFUL! I'd say the same about "Ray", too. Feature films usually focus on the sensational in a person's life. TV films/miniseries can take more time to explore lives. With the exception of "Coalminer's Daughter", most bios are better if done on TV.

Try to find the Elvis TV series, or watch the various films created for TV. They're far better than a feature film EVER would be!

The Beatles had a miniseries that covered their changes. I'd hate to see them try that in an approximately 2-hour theatrical film!

THERE ARE PLENTY "ELVIS" MOVIES...

Elvis and me ROCKED!

Climb out from under that rock! You missed about 30 of them!

Kurt Russell starred in a movie a few years ago.

i think all those that answered missed the boat, there have been some pretty good tv productions on early beatles. Backbeat was real good. But to my knowledge there has been no major theatrical releases. Accross the Universe is a musical based on Beatles music.

Well, there's this movie: "The Killing of John Lennon".

Good question. I'm sure there's one in talks by now. Especially what with "Ray" and "Walk The Line" being such big hits. I hear there's even a Hugh Hefner movie in the works!

Personally I think Elvis and the Beatles SUCK. I see none of the appeal.
