What do you think of the ironman trailer?!

Question: respond if you have seen the trailer.

Answers: respond if you have seen the trailer.

Personally I was never a fan of Ironman in the comics... and skeptical at best of it being able to be translated correctly to film.
In seeing the Ironman trailer (about 2 months ago I think) I was blown away. Literally. I never gave it much thought, but somehow Robert Downey Jr, just seems to be the perfect Tony Stark... The trailer, IMHO, is too telling. It makes for a very transparent script. But it seems to provide a good (hopefully short) origin for the character. In my opinion having to explain the origin of a character, that has been around for many decades as a comic book, to a new audience of people who may never have heard or or cared to read a Comic Book to be familiar with said character, can be rather boring and uneventful... (remember X-Men, it didn't really get going until. well until the second movie when you had a foundation of knowledge from which they (movie industry) could build.) Though I understand it's vitality to creating a bankable franchise... I have to admit that I was extremely pleased with the visuals of the suit, and thought that the images of IM flying with the F16's (or F-15 14 13 tomcats whatever they are I at least know they weren't Boeing 747's) looked believable, that is to say looked as believable as Superman does flying. Two things stick out like sore thumbs to me... the First is somewhat anecdotal when the terrorists pull the gunny sac off Starks head - I swear I see Hitler. I really have to concentrate on his face to realize it's Downey's. the second is more of an indicator of weather or not I will be able to stomach the whole movie.... and it is in the last few seconds of the trailer... What is Up with that mechanized voice saying I am Ironman? It grates at the very fiber of my being. If I'm sitting in a theater, watching the movie and all of a sudden it becomes apparent that they chose to disguise Stark voice with a synthesizer and that is the voice they have given... I'll be speaking with the theater manager about a refund.. or possibly allowing me passage to a different movie....something but I will not sit through that movie if i am going to be accosted with that voice...
so what did you think of the trailer?

hate it

OZZY should be part of it .

It looks a little cheesy. I'll still most likely see it though. I think they should haev picked a different actor to play ironman though.

My 12 yr. old son can't wait to see it. Me too! Looks pretty cool.

a reformed alcoholic druggie to play tony stark...well, tony stark did have a alcoholic problem at one time...hm, guess that goes for realism

no bueno

I was at comic-con 2007 and we actually got to see a small portion of the film. The trailer is okay, but doesn't do it justice.

I did see it and I think I creamed my pants. I thought I was out of the woods and then I saw the trailer for The Dark Knight and I did it again.

Awesome ! Another MARVEL Film That WIll Live Up To The Franchise.
I Was Dissappointed With Other MARVEL Films To be Frank.

Such As The Fantastic Four And Hulk.

Also The Incredible Hulk AKA Hulk 2 Is Also Coming Out.
