Worst sequels ever?! in particular horror sequels. . .?!
Question: I just bought the THE OMEN box set after Christmas a while ago. Never seen it before. The original was great! like people always say. The remake was just as good-I though. Some might argue that. Fare enough. . .
But the seuqels. . . Omen-234. Man were they bad!! Especially the 4th Omen. I thought I was being punked when watching it.LOL.
I don't regret the buying the box set though.
So my question is. What are the worst sequels in your opinion? in particular horror sequels.
Careful if you pick the "Elm Street" or "Friday the 13th" series. I love those!!!!

The absolute worst sequel that I have ever seen and has yet to be beaten is Blair Witch Project 2. No other words to describe it but CRAP. Do you disagree? Its hard to disagree isnt it? lol, that movie was so bad.

Well as I'm not a horror lover. All I'm going to say is that when my friends & I got together to watch Jason VS. Freddy, we laughed our heads off, it was so funny to us. Well now that we're older to realize that it's not real!
So that is my choice.

Oh and the American Pie sequels to, I can handle the 2nd and 3rd but after that just sucks, they have made like 3 more based of Stiffler's brother. Puke!
I don't know if you would consider Final Destination to be a horror movie, but both sequels were pretty bad.
I agree with the omen sequels being balls.
The original exorcist is amazing and none of the sequels will ever live up to it.
I don't tend to watch sequels after I've seen the original film. Ruins it too much, like Dirty Dancing2 Havana Nights.
Truly Terrible as a sequel, but alright on its own.
Dumb and Dumber to Dumb and Dumberer was the biggest dropoff I have ever seen.

Lake Placid 2 was so bad, it wasn't even funny. And the first one was so good =(
I was disappointed by The Hills Have Eyes II. The characters were likeable (except for the blonde chick - I SO wanted her to die! haha) but some of the acting was bad, and the story itself was stupid.
Pirates of the Carribbean 3 was pretty bad. I mean there were some funny parts, and of course I loved all the actors, but the movie itself was boring to me.
Blair Witch 2 - ummm, speaks for itself. Lol.
Grease 2. I LOVED Grease, but the 2nd one was awful! The songs weren't catchy, and it was almost like a remake instead of a sequel.
Poltergeist 2. Okay, I watched the 3rd one first. Then I watched the first one, then the 2nd one, so I kinda cheated. =P But I had to fast-forward through most of the 2nd one because it sucked so bad.
The Butterfly Effect 2 - it wasn't a horrible movie, but it was nothing compared to the first one.
Tremors 2 and 3 - Ugh. =P The only good thing was that in each movie the worms had mutated into a different monster.
Bring It On 2 and probably 4 - Ick.
Cruel Intentions 2, 3, and um ... if there's any others, put 'em on here - The first was a good movie, the others? Not so much.
Well, that's all I can think of right now. I figured I might as well post some of my fav sequels while I'm at it!!
FAVS:
Saw II, III, and IV - Loved em
Hostel II - Again, better than the original
Jurassic Park II and III - Liked them all, but especially the first movie
28 Weeks Later
Resident Evil 2 and 3 - better than the first
X-Men 3 - I'm not a fan of things like this, but the 3rd movie was awesome IMO.
Freddy vs. Jason - I like funny horror. It makes me laugh and scream at the same time =D
House of the Dead 2 - Better than the first, more like a zombie movie too
Cube 2 - Both were great, in a diff. way.
Eh, there's probably others but I can't remember any more. =D NoES were all freaky - but I guess that's a good thing? xD
Sorry but "Nightmare On Elm Street 2" was AWFUL! SO was "Halloween 3" and any of The howling sequels!
