Those were older movies that showed death scenes. Never my thing but I remember it was "all the rage".

well, if ur talking about "The Passion of The Christ by Mel Gibson", it was only banned because it brings forth..err.. wat was it.. religious sensitivity, if im nt mistaken.. some country, like Arab etc (no pun intended) will not accept this kind of movie.. erm...

Could it be Cloverfield? It's not really real footage, but it's meant to look like it's been shot by some young people with a handcam.
There's been so much mystery about the movie. But I think it's supposed to look like a massive monster attacks NYC. It looks really exciting.
