Question: I am a nanny and I have actually been in some of those situations she was in with other families. can any nanny relate to the movie? Why? I loved the movie did anyone else?

I was a Nanny for about 10 years or so. The funny thing is, my boss let me borrow that book. And she said, "I hope you don't think we are like these people in any way." But really, they were!
One similar situation:
I nannied for a wealthy family much like in the book. Three kids. Boy-Girl-Boy. I was mainly in charge of the youngest son, the other two were in school all day long. The older son was nuts. He would say things such as.."I'm going to break a window and cut myself and say you did it." Or, "I'm going to beat myself and tell my parents that you beat me up." The Mom and Dad were never around. I made the mistake of telling the maid about the older son and she ratted me out. The mom called me at home and told me to never return and to pick up my payment in the mailbox at the end of the driveway. (The driveway was as long as a block, maybe even longer.) The terrible part was, the younger son(who was about 2) was progressing in my care and I seriously loved him as my own. I was told I could never come back and never talk to the kids again.
Oh, and by the way , this was around 9-11. And on that day, they both came home from work early, and wouldn't let me leave to be with my boyfriend. They made me stay the entire day to watch the kids so that they could watch the news and putter around the house.
Ahhh..the life of a nanny.

well im not a nanny but yeah i have and its cute and im pretty sure you dont have to just be a nanny to be in that kinda situation
i'm not a nanny but i love the movie!!!!! soo adorable!! and im sure that every nanny on the planet has experienced at least one of the things the nanny in the movie went through. just take the show "supernanny" for example. she's probably done, what? 100 episodes? probably more. so you can see that all nanny's have to deal with that once in their lifetime.
I'm looking for a nanny and I loved that movie.
