Can you suggest more? You know, the kind of intelligent movie, at once entertaining and enlightening, that shows the main character in a stuck place in his or her life, and how he or she eventually broke free.
This is important. Movies, for me, are not just mindless entertainment. Whether its comedy, drama, realism, magic realism, fairy tale, or any genre, movies can heal and enlighten.
Please help me add to this list.

I always considered ONE FLEW OVER THE CUCKOO'S NEST to be an inspiring movie about change and overcoming obstacles (despite what happens to Jack Nicholson's character).
How about AS GOOD AS IT GETS, another great Jack Nicholson film? Or MUST LOVE DOGS? And lets not forget DeNiro in ANALYZE THIS.

4. Perfect Strangers (with Halley Berry and Bruce Willis)
5. Disturbia (about a teenager who peeps over at his neighbor and finds out his neighbor is a murderer and tries to tell the police....)
6. Bobby Z (with Paul Walker)
7. Crash (with Sandra Bullock, Brenden Frashier, Matt Dillon, and Ryan Phillipe)
8. The Glass House (with Lee Lee Sobieske, and Diane Lane)
9. Bourne Identity, Bourne Supremecy, and Bourne Ultimatum (with Matt Damon)
10. Rush Hour 1,2 and 3. (these are just funny and action packed)
11. Shooter (with Marc Wahlburg)
12. The Pursuit of Happyness (with Will Smith. I love this movie. It's a true story about a man who's luck has run out, but his faith doesn't and he struggles with trying to get a job to support himself and his son because his wife walked out on him)
