Why are there so many ghetto dance movies produced by MTV?!
Question: There are soooo many, and they're all about the same thing. "Oh, I'm a girl raised in the ghetto and I know how to DANCE!" or "I'm the rebel white chick who's tired of BALLET...i <3 HIP HOP!" Give me a break...movie makers love to make $$$$$.

It's probably because people like to watch them... especially teenagers with alot of time on their hands lol. Even though they all have the same plot, many people still like to watch them.
MTV will go after the movies that rely heavily on their soundtrack.
Not just dance movies, movies that have a heavy musically-based storyline ("Get Rich or Die Tryin", "The Fighting Tempations")
Because MTV is stupid. They have no sense of originality and they are trying to brainwash people into the idea of a certain subculture they must belong to if they were born and raised in a certain place and are minorities.
I agree with everything said here. And if you ever watch MTV (any of their channels) that's the audience they pander to.
Why do teenagers like this trash is the question I cannot understand?
