yes there are two endings. I have the 2 dvd set and on dvd 1 there is the theatrical ending and on dvd 2 there is the alternate... They were both good endings tho one is a big scarier...that's the movie execs trying to get that last good scare in before it ends.
Yeah, the one I saw in the theater was different from when I rented it with my parents.
