This gameplay environment is completely different from that of the single player mode. Here gamers fight and gain reputations in the F.E.A.R. online community. For example: it is generaly fealt that the shotgun is the most difficult weapon style to master even beyond that of the hand to hand combat. This is becuase it has three challenging qualities to be adept with. Firstly, distant and close aviodance manuevering, secondly, effective only at close range, thirdly the shotgun has a slow rate of fire. All of this makes the use of the shotgun very difficult. To date, the most feared shotgun Master on F.E.A.R. Combat has the screen name HFLordREGULATOR. Not much is known about this player or his/her background except that he claims to come from a long line of Persian Warriors and that another HF player exists in the title GEARS OF WAR and goes by the name HFLordDESTROYER. There is also an HILordBERSERKER and all three are sometimes found on GEARS OF WAR. HFLordREGULATOR has issued a challenge to anyone who would like to test themselves Against him to email him at HFLordREGULATOR@yahoo.com to schedule a time and place, but to date he has never been defeated in any Theatre.
