People who talk in the theater during movies...?!

Question: So here is the thing, today I went to see a movie National Treasure 2, it is really good. Anyway the people behind me a family of four started talking before the movie began. Their son told the parents to turn off their phone and they said no cause no one was going to call them, so they left their phone on. Someone called them I think 3 times during the movie and for some reason they felt the need to talk about scenes on the movie and a need to cross their legs back and forth, kicking my chair. They pulled my chair and it was like I was being catapulted out of my chair. My question is, don't you hate when people talk in the theatre and do I have rights when someone does that, because next time I would like to complain about it. Do I have rights?

you absolutely have Rights listen. that happens to me quite a few times. i march out to the lobby ask to speak to a what they are complain and demand that i get free tickets. coz number 1. the ushers should be in there monitoring the crowed. 2. you had to leave the theatre to complain. you should also say that you were nearly catapulted out of your seat. so, ohh try to be nice when asking for the tickets just be firm. coz then you might not get them.

also, you are you. i swear everytime you answer my questions or post a question. i'm spitting soda all over the place from laughing and...

are you a comedian? or at least a writer coz if not you should be. funny, funny, funny. i think that's a real gift to be able to make people laugh.

well, any who thats my answer.

one last thing. i have learned that it is pointless to argue with the people who are making noise. it they are rude to be doing those type of things they are rude enough to not change their behaviour. they will argue back. if they have back up. it will most definetly get loud up in there. well, would if it was my mouth. but, yeah you get the point. i would go straight to the source and have them kicked out.

good luck and sorry for the long answer

You have the right to turn around and give them whats coming to them.

you could have them removed

get management

the worst thing i ever seen was one night i was in a theatre, and some guy was using his cell phone

now a nice person would walk at least out of hearing range of the movie and people.

no he walks down the stairs and sits at the bottom

then he screams into the phone and is louder then the movie.

i nearly got up and kicked his ***

You could try to report them to a manager. Don't say nothing to them, just get up and report them.

You paid to get into the theater and you had the right to complain to the manager and have them either be quiet or leave.

Those people should be shot.
I would get up and complain, but that means I would miss part of the movie, so I either turn around and tell the to shut up, or move to another seat.
I usually do the first.

Yes! You pay a heck of a lot to go to theaters and should enjoy it. If you aren't too shy, kindy ask them to be quiet. (I am usally to nervious to ask someone.) If you don't feel comfortable asking them or have already ask them and it's not working... you have the right to comlaint to the theater.

im not one to cause a scene or get in arguments but give them a warning first and if it happens see management. i know that sounds girlyish if thats a word but arguing will only get u all kicked out and make things worse. trust me ive been there. im not one to talk during movies if a funny or cool action part happened i quietly wisper into my friends ear "man that was awesome" or something like that but yeah i hate people talking during movies its very rude

Thats very rude of them, so tell them to be quiet

Yes, I hate that. It's like people are trying to irritate anyone in the general area.

Yes thats really annoying
one time when I saw that movie The Game Plan, these two people next to me kept laughing at every joke really hard and adding comments to them like they were suppost to when the jokes weren't even that funny
You should either move as far away from them as possible if open seats are available or turn around and tell them to stop

duh

They should be shot on sight!!!LOL!!! Talk to the manager, he can tell them to leave, and you might get a free movie ticket to replace to movie you missed because of their rudeness.

Yes, you do!

i hate those kinda people as well!
i was watching I am Legend and the freaking annoying guy beside me kept chanting....
"holy Sh*t!....."
"hurhur... a grenade?"
"whoa, that guy(the infected guy who broke the glass in neville's lab) is the head"
"lame... (when neville talked to mannequins)"
and so on and so forth.
i kept glaring at him but apparently he didnt care.

To get back at them, this is what had to do once: using your hands on your mouth you should have made a loud farting noise and then set off a stink bomb that smells like dead sweaty bats.

You should have turned around and told them to knock it off or if youre the passive type go tell management - it usually takes a few people to complain before someone is thrown out.

I have a big mouth so I turn around/leanforward or walk up to the person and tell them to shut the f uck up and go outside

people who talk arent as bad as the dummies who bring infants to movies

yeah i was watching a movie a few weeks ago and the same thing happened to me, but just a lot of loud talking no phones, the thing is it was a little kid so i didn't say anything, but the parent should've said something. I feel that people shouldnt feel guilty of telling a little kid to be quiet becuse we shouldnt have to anyway, it the parents responciblity. We pay fo rthe movie and we should have to listen to that

I was once at the movies and the whole theater was practically empty, i mean maybe 3 people max in there and some guy comes along and sits maybe 3 seats away from me. I'm like...ok...he can pick anywhere in the whole theater, why's he gotta sit near me. But then during the movie he felt the need to repeat any funny parts of the movie line for line as if the other 2 of us in the theater didnt hear it.

you could of just moved to a different seat then that would of solved the problem, just a thought i'm nott trying to be sarcastic but i would of just moved to a different seat if there is another one open and just forget about dealing with idiots like that. i know how it is when people sit there and talk during the movie i just hate that
so just remeber next when that happends just move somewhere else. good luck

I would turn around and ask them how they like the movie...because your just loving the commentary and hoped they were having a nice time, and if they would like to leave thier compliments with the management you would be happy to go and get the Manager for them...Oh and if that dosent work you go and tell management that you think they are recording the movie behind you with thier cell phones...a few confiscated phones will teach them to mind thier P's and Q's.-Rachel.

rights ?? just get up and tell them to shut the f**k up and stop fidgeting . that could shut them up then you can peacefully watch your movie
